About Catabloguing

This is my blog about films, which unfortunately I don’t update very much these days. I also edit the website http://www.screenmachine.tv , which is updated much more frequently and which you should all check out.

  1. Oh hi, nice blog. You haven’t met me, I’m one of Adrian’s students too. He mentioned you were looking at Meaghan Morris (extraordinaire) so I might have looked you up and found your writings :D. Your Ferrara stuff is great! There is a copy of Nicole’s book at the uni library, I highly recommend it. Hopefully I’ll see you around the 7th floor

Hi, thanks for the comment. This is weird but I have actually looked at your blog once before, I’m not sure how I came across it though, at the time I didn’t have any idea of who you were – we must have a mutual friend, or you commented on some other blog I read, or something… anyway. I read the Brenez book a couple of months ago, it’s fantastic. I’m enjoying the Meaghan Morris stuff I’ve been reading for thesis research as well, and there’s an awful lot of untapped material of hers I’m yet to look at. Right at the minute I’m caught up in the more strictly philosophical side of my thesis research, which for the moment means Foucault and possibly Benjamin. Anyway thanks. Are you going to the Taussig workshop on Tuesday?

  2. That is kind of spooky. I wonder how you found me? Curious! I will be at Taussig tomorrow. I hope I learn something. I have to admit, I am a little intimidated by him!
I will meet you then? xo
